In the petrochemical engineering, the design of pipe support is not only a heavy work, but also a complicated process. At the same time, because it involves the intrinsic safety of pipelines, the design work is of great significance. In order to save the design time of pipe support and improve the design quality, we have developed an automatic pipe support design software, which could replace manual work to a great extent.

The software can automatically place the pipe support according to the design rules, the properties of the pipelines (e.g. material, temperature, insulation thinkness, vibration tendency parameters, etc.), the environment (e.g. nearby rooting position) and the software calculation results (e.g. pipeline span, pipeline static load, etc.).

Based on CAESARII stress analysis results, the software could automatically checks the changes in pipe properties (e.g. wall thickness), automatically adjusts pipe thickness, pipe direction, pipe support type and position (i.e., automatically add, delete and modify pipes and pipe supports), and provides corresponding reports.

The software could significantly reduce the design time of the pipe support. Compared with the actual project, the design time of the pipe support can be reduced by approximately 80%, and the automatic design time of each pipe support is approximately 10 seconds (including the stress analysis pipes’ supports modification).

The innovation points：

(1) The soft ware could automatically calculate relevant parameters according to pipeline attributes and ambience environment, and automatically complete pipe support selection and placement in accordance with design rules.

(2) Through the data interaction with CAESARII, the software realizes automatic checking the results and adjusting the pipe supports.

赛事介绍

海克斯康精英奖大赛是由海克斯康PPM（原鹰图公司）举办的全球设计大赛。本届赛事基于海克斯康近20年的赛事运作基础上，融合了金阀门奖大赛、铂金管道奖大赛、Drivers of Success奖大赛等多项赛事重整开启，对软件应用层面具有创新力和执行力的用户进行全球性选拔和嘉奖。几个月的时间，大赛共收到来自全球众多技术领先企业的近百份作品，行业覆盖了化工、油气、海事、加工、核能和发电、金属和采矿等行业领域。除评选出全球六项全球精英奖作品外，为了更好地展示参赛企业实力和成果，赛事增加了业务大区评选环节，开设了2021年海克斯康精英奖大赛创研类奖项、三维设计类奖项及行业贡献及应用类奖项。
